The Mission
A Granddaughter on a Mission to Tell the Forgotten Story
It began with my papa — a veteran of the Aleutian Campaign who rarely spoke of what he witnessed on those remote islands at the edge of the world. When he passed, I made a promise: his story, and the stories of the thousands who served alongside him, would not be forgotten.
What started as a personal journey to retrace his footsteps through the Aleutian Islands became something much larger — a mission to preserve and share one of the most overlooked chapters of WWII history through storytelling, preservation, expeditions, and historical exploration. This website is the digital home of that mission: history, remembrance, storytelling, and adventure — all connected by the human stories that still deserve to be heard.
